Swimming, snorkelling, windsurfing and scuba diving are just some of the watersports you can take part in. Away from the attractive coastline you might be surprised to find a large mix of dense forests, craggy peaks and wonderful hilltop villages nearby. Two thirds of Corsica is actually made up of mountains, making it the most mountainous island of the Mediterranean! Hike one of the many trails, go canyoning or try mountain biking on the rocky terrain. Once you’ve exhausted yourself from the variety of activities on offer during the day, take a trip to the coastal cities and sample some fine local delicacies. Huahine, French Polynesia

For a relaxing tropical getaway, the lush island of Huahine offers a calm and peaceful retreat. Beautifully blissful beaches adorn the island, surrounded by deep crystal clear blue lagoons which are just begging for you to take a dip in. Here you have the opportunity to go diving, surfing, snorkelling or horse riding, but you’ll also find it’s very easy to unwind and do nothing at all. Despite the temptation to just lay down on the beach for the duration of your honeymoon, make sure you take some time to go exploring so you can truly soak up the culture. At first, you may think Huahine is just one island, but surprisingly it is made up of two small islands which are joined together by a bridge. Among these islands is a thriving tropical jungle as well as an abundance of sacred temples and archaeological sites which are definitely worth seeing in person.

Tasmania, Australia

From the vast rugged landscape of astonishing mountains and lakes to some of the most stunning beaches in the world, Tasmania offers natural beauty at its finest. Take a hike with your partner through the lush forests, or explore the wild rivers by kayak, raft or yacht. A huge amount of wildlife call Tasmania their home, so expect to share the cool Southern Ocean with seals and dolphins and greet penguins as they waddle home. Tasmanian devils are only found in the wild on this island and Maria Island, but you’ll find it hard to spy one of these at night. If you're desperate to see one, take a trip to a wildlife park or sanctuary where many of these devils live. Then make sure you venture just outside the capital city of Hobart, where the mind blowing MONA stands. In this complex you will find a world class gallery, winery, brewery and restaurant, so step inside and soak up some culture as well as sampling local beers and wines. Afterwards, head over to The Bay of Fires, a sweeping white sandy beach with crystal clear lagoons and rocky headlands. There's a famed hike you can take, or if you're feeling tired after a long day, you can just lie down and soak up the glorious sunshine.
